Road-tested on stages worldwide, the Wolfgang Special QM is built for high-speed playability, massive tone, and rock-solid stability. The basswood body is topped with an arched quilt maple cap, while the quartersawn baked maple bolt-on neck is graphite reinforced for extra strength and resistance to humidity shifts.
The neck is carved and rolled to Eddie Van Halen’s specs with a smooth hand-rubbed satin urethane back finish. Up top, the 12”–16” compound radius baked maple fingerboard keeps chords comfortable near the nut and makes big bends effortless higher up, with 22 jumbo frets and clean black dot inlays. Spoke-wheel truss rod access at the base of the neck makes quick adjustments easy.
For tone, a pair of EVH Wolfgang Alnico 2 humbuckers are mounted direct to the body for punch, articulation, and endless sustain. Add the EVH-branded Floyd Rose locking trem, R2 locking nut, and the EVH D-Tuna for instant drop-D changes—perfect for aggressive riffing and expressive lead work.
